Handmade in Edinburgh

Will the finished piece look just like the photo?
On a real wood piece, the hands-on technique, natural charm and small imperfections of each wood slice make each piece unique. On a finished piece the grain and wood markings show through creating a beautiful rustic effect.

On plywood pieces the colours are usually more vibrant. The wood markings are not so obvious on plywood.

Do you alter photographs?
I occasionally sharpen and brighten photographs for a better finished effect.

How do I get photos to you?
After ordering simply email your photos direct to littlememoryshop @ hotmail.com. If you’re ordering more than one product please let me know which photo is to go with which product.

What format of photo do you need?
Images saved as jpegs and png are best. The larger the file is saved the better. Please don’t crop pictures before sending.

Can you use old photographs?
Yes. If an old photo is scanned to a high enough quality I can try to reproduce it. Unfortunately, I cannot use real photographs, only digital ones will work.

Can you do black and white prints?
Yes. I can print mono or colour although colour is accepted by the wood better. Photos taken at night or shadows on faces will not print very clearly.

Are all wood slices identical in size?
Due to the nature of wood, the natural slices aren’t perfect circles or a specific fixed size. Plywood pieces are lasercut with precision and are all an exact size.

How do I order?
You can order through the Shop section on the website, or you can email direct to littlememoryshop @ hotmail dot com.

How much is P&P
Postage is a flat rate of £2.50 regardless of how many items you buy. For orders over £60 postage is free and for customers near to me I deliver free of charge. I post second class to keep costs down and slices are sent when possible in recycled packaging. Registered or signed for postage is available, just ask. Postage is within the UK only.

What payment methods do you use?
Payment is made in advance through PayPal. You don’t have to be an account holder to use it and PayPal accepts all major cards. PayPal is completely secure and I have no access to card details. Bank transfer is also accepted, please ask for details.

How long does an order take?
Turnaround is around 7-9 days. I use Royal Mail and will let you know when your order is on the way.

Can I return items?
As all custom items are made with personal photographs and could not be resold I’m afraid returns are not permitted. I take great pride in the printing and finishing of every piece

How do I look after my wood art?
To keep your slice in the best condition please keep it out of direct sunlight, like any print, this will make it fade. Avoid getting water on your slice. If you need to dust or clean it please use a dry cloth.

If you have any further questions which aren’t covered here or would like advice about a particular photo, please get in touch.
